Boston Celtics ready to extend streak? Maybe, but Evan Turner just ...
BOSTON -- Gary Harris picked off a pass and pivoted toward the opposite hoop with ambitious thoughts. But as he tried to convert defense to offense, the Denver Nuggets guard made a damaging miscalculation. He failed to properly account for the irritating, opportunistic and often rude Boston Celtics defense. Marcus Smart slid over to cut off Harris' dribble and Avery Bradley pursued the play like a bull chases a waving flag, swooping in from Harris' other side to knock away the basketball. Har..

Boston Red Sox starting pitcher Joe Kelly was mentioned in several trade rumors this offseason, especially on the first day of the Winter Meetings in December before president of baseball operations Dave Dombrowski dealt starter Wade Miley to Seattle.   But Kelly told Rob Bradford of WEEI.com on the Bradfo Show podcast that manager John Farrell called him to tell him he would not be traded. BOSTON — For perhaps the first time in his life, Boston Celtics guard Marcus Smart said he isn't planning to play a basketball game at 100 miles per hour. Smart, who was named to the Rising Stars Challenge at All-Star Weekend, was asked before the Boston Celtics matchup with the Denver Nuggets whether he planned to dive on the floor and take charges. "Not many," the guard responded, smiling. Whether or not you believe Smart, it's probably for the best if he avoids hitting the deck too hard. Sm..
